THE BUSINESS OF BUSINESS CARDS

In today's digital world, there are far easier and more effective ways of sharing one's contact details than handing out business cards. However, for me, there is always the odd occasion where a business card comes in handy. Five hundred business cards? No! Fifty business cards? Maybe.
Business cards are still sold in large batches due to the reduced unit cost price. But how often have you thrown away hundreds of old cards because your contact details have changed? Or, in my case, I really don't like the design anymore. So I decided to print fifty of my newly designed cards in black and white. I used two A3 size sheets (25 cards per sheet) which cost less than R20 to print. I then added a little colour using a highlighter along the edges.

1. You'll need a highlighter, three paper clips and two pieces of thick-ish cardboard.

2. Place the business cards between two pieces of cardboard and line up the edges.
3. Clamp the stack together using paper clips on three sides. Make sure it's clamped tightly.
4. Run the highlighter along the edges until all the white is covered.

Result - quick and easy, cost effective business cards!
